Card Swap Cards/Birthday Card/Flower Card

Mar 13, 2024

I was making 30 card swap cards, 10 for one swap and 20 for another. I decided to make 20 for myself because I liked them much. One needed to be made with some type of flower on it, and the other had to be a Happy Birthday card, so I combined the two themes and did an assembly line. Doing an assembly line to make a bunch of the same cards makes it go so much faster.

List of supplies

  • White card stock
  • Paper trimmer and small pair of scissors
  • bone folder
  • Stampin' Pads- Pacific Point and Gray Granite
  • Wink Of Stella
  • StampinUp Cheerful Daisies Photopolymer Stamp Set and Dies
  • Acrylic blocks- various sizes
  • Diamond Press Marquise die-cutting tool
  • Old washcloth, one wet and one dry
  • Old Teflon sheet to protect my surface while stamping (from baking dept)
  • Scrapbook.com Double-sided Foam Adhesive Shapes- round

  1. I gather all my supplies and prioritize the order in which I do things.
  2. I usually stamp all my images first to give them time for the ink to dry.
  3. Die-cut or fussy-cut all my images. Put all like images in separate piles.
  4. Cut the card bases to size A2. 8 1/2 x 11 inches cut in half. For this card, I cut it in half on the long side (11").
  5. Fold each piece in half.
  6. Stamp the smaller flower randomly. I start in the middle and work outwards. Stamp some off the page. Make sure you are protecting your surface underneath.
  7. I used round pop-up foam dots from Scrapbook.com on both sides of the vellum and then placed the stamped flower on top of it.
  8. I put one large flower in the corner and two smaller flowers on either side.
  9. I placed the sentiment on the bottom in between the stamped images that had foam adhesive underneath..
