Get Well Card for a Friend
Mar 15, 2024I made this card for a friend who had an operation on her knee for the second time. I wanted to cheer her up and let her know that I was thinking about her and praying for her quick recovery.
SUPPLIES
- White cardstock
- Pattern paper/cardstock
- Color cardstock to match pattern cardstock
- My Favorite Things- Penguins in Paradise Clear Stamps and Dies
- Stampin Up- So Sentimental Cling Set
- Stampin Up Punch
- Acrylic blocks
- Black Ink- Memento Tuxedo Black
- Alcohol Coloring Markers- I used Spectrum Noir from Crafters Companion
- Marquise die-cutting machine from Diamond Press
- Paper trimmer
- Sequin embellishments
- Glue- I used Art Glitter Glue Clear
- Foam Adhesive- from Scrapbook.com
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut white cardstock for card base A2 size
- Stamp images on white cardstock and color
- Die cut images
- Stamp sentiment on white cardstock
- Punch out the sentiment and punch out a pattern paper to layer behind the sentiment
- Cut Solid color cardstock 4 X 5 1/4 in one color and 2 1/2 X 5 in a different color
- Cut two pieces of pattern paper 3 3/4 X 1 1/4 each
- Adhere the larger color cardstock to the base
- Place the pattern paper next. One piece on top and one piece below (making sure to leave an edge to see the color cardstock)
- Adhere the smaller piece of cardstock in the middle of the two pattern papers
- Adhere to the colored stamped and die-cut images on the middle cardstock piece
- Layer the punched sentiment on top of the pattern paper and adhere it to the card using foam adhesive for dimension
- Finish by adding any additional embellishments or decorations as desired.
- And there you have it, a beautifully handcrafted card that is sure to make someone's day!
